Hotel Rangá is a countryside hotel perfectly located to explore all the wonders of South Iceland. We highly recommend that you drive your own car or rental car for your convenience. We offer free parking in front of the hotel as well as free charging for electric cars. The hotel does not offer a scheduled shuttle bus service to and from the Reykjavík capital area or the international airport, but we can assist with booking transportation to and from the hotel. Transport via Super Jeeps, taxis, limousines, and helicopters can also be arranged. A public bus service from Reykjavík is also an option, but the schedule is rather limited. The best option by far, both economically and to get the most out of your visit to South Iceland, is to hire a rental car.

Take road 41 to Reykjavík and then follow the signs to the intersection with road 1 east. Hotel Rangá is located directly off road 1 between the towns of Hella and Hvolsvöllur.

Take road 1 all the way east from Reykjavik. Pass through the city Selfoss. Continue east to Hella which you pass through. Drive 8 km east of Hella, on your right side, lies the hotel approx 600 meters from the main road. The entrance to the hotel is signed by the road.

Public Transport:
There are public buses that go from the airport to Reykjavík, and from Reykjavík to our nearby villages Hvolsvöllur and Hella. The bus schedules are somewhat limited, so we recommend that you rent a car.
There are no trains in Iceland.
