Time for some aurora predictions - made in London?!!
Sunday, Nov 08 2009

Hi
Sorry for not being so active with auroral predictions as of late - but I have been a bit "under the weather" for some time. And, at several times recently, the aurora unfortunately has been "above the weather". In effect the aurora was nice - only cloudy skies blocked the viewing on some nights. As I am feeling a bit better now - I also have faith in the aurora to "act" a bit better. Sunspot activity is gradually increasing and should mean more & more consistent/spectacular northern lights in the months and years to come. These predictions are also found here under Trends.
The aurora was quite active the period 22 - 30th October. I now predict the 17th to the 26th of November to be active. But the consistency of the rising amount of sunspots (30 sunpots so far - in the new cycle "officially" having started in January 2008) in our latest sunpot cycle (named cycle nr 24) makes things hard to predict accurately - for now at least. Let´s also hope for clear skies!
In addition - our famous Scandinavian Christmas Buffet premieres on November 20th (served Fridays & Saturdays only - 5 weekends in a row). This culinary delight should not be missed. Over 80 different dishes from all the Scandinavian countries. Plus, as usual, we will serve some bonus extras from all around the world! Hope to see you here soon.
